Unlike hiking trails, scrambles take you over rocky ridges, gullies, and hands-on sections where you’ll be moving on all fours. Our friendly, qualified guides will:
Teach you how to move confidently on rock
Introduce safe scrambling techniques and route finding
Support you in tackling exposure step by step
Share mountain knowledge, folklore, and local legends along the way
You’ll finish the day with new confidence, a big smile, and the hunger for more adventure.
Sample Routes
Depending on weather and group ability, we may guide you on some of Snowdonia and the Lake District’s best beginner scrambles, such as:
Tryfan’s South ridge – a Grade 1 scramble with exciting but safe hands-on sections
Y Gribin Ridge (Snowdonia) – a classic Grade 1 scramble with incredible views of the Glyderau
Seniors Gully + Ridge - A good option for a wet or windy day which takes us up to Glyder Fawr
Striding Edge (Lake District) – an airy but achievable ridge on Helvellyn
