This is relaxed, confidence-building climbing — no pressure, no judgement, just great rock and supportive coaching.

What is outdoor bouldering?

Outdoor bouldering is climbing short rock problems close to the ground, without ropes. It’s all about movement, balance and problem-solving — with crash pads for protection and good technique to manage risk.

Compared to indoor walls, outdoor bouldering feels more adventurous and more rewarding. You’ll learn how to read natural rock, choose suitable problems and climb safely in real outdoor environments.

This session is designed to help you make that transition confidently and safely.

Who is this experience for?

This outdoor bouldering course is ideal if you:

  • 🧗 Have tried indoor bouldering and want to climb outside

  • 🎒 Don’t own crash pads or outdoor equipment

  • 🗺️ Don’t know where to go or what’s suitable for beginners

  • 😬 Feel unsure or nervous about outdoor climbing safety

  • 🌿 Want a supportive, guided introduction — not a hardcore course

No previous outdoor climbing experience is required.

Minimum age: 12 years (under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)

What you’ll learn on the day 🧠🪨

We keep things practical, relaxed and hands-on. During your session you’ll learn:

  • How outdoor bouldering works (safety, access and etiquette)

  • How to choose beginner-friendly boulder problems

  • Effective warm-ups and movement skills

  • Safe falling and spotting techniques

  • How to use crash pads properly

  • How to read rock and solve boulder problems

  • How to climb responsibly and look after the environment

There’s plenty of time to climb, rest, chat and ask questions — this is about enjoyment as much as learning.
